BASF Releases NACE/CARS Details

July 23, 2014—BASF Automotive Refinish on July 22 released its 2014 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference schedule and exhibit details.

The BASF booth, number 18008, will feature Chip Foose, the star of automotive reality T.V. show Overhaulin’ and owner of Foose Design.

Foose will sign autographs on July 31 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Aug. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. He will also perform a paint demonstration with the company's Glasurit 90-Line at noon on Aug. 1 in the Cobo Center. 

BASF will also sponsor the Collision Repair Executive Symposium (CRES), held Aug. 1 during the expo, and Hans Kempf, BASF’s training manager, will discuss advanced color adjustment tools and techniques that day as part of the show's conference program. BASF will showcase other processes and some of its new products during the event as well. 

“BASF’s line of R-M coatings was started in Detroit nearly a century ago,” Vitor Margaronis, BASF Coating Solutions’ marketing director said. “So while we always look forward to the NACE / CARS Expo, we are especially excited to see it held in Detroit this year, where our automotive business has a long history.”
