Jan. 4, 2016—XPEL Technologies became aware on Wednesday that 3M had filed a complaint in U.S. District Court in Minnesota alleging that XPEL had infringed on 3M’s U.S. Patent No. 8,765,263, entitled Multilayer Polyurethane Protective Films.
XPEL responded by saying it was not given any prior notice of the allegations and that it intends to vigorously defend itself against such patent infringement claims.
