Maaco to Resurface Former Slogan

Jan. 14, 2015—Maaco has launched its 2015 branding and marketing campaign by bringing back a slogan from the company’s youth, Maaco announced on Tuesday.

"Uh-Oh, Better Get Maaco."

Maacos’ new, episodic commercials will follow a modern family and the “uh-ohs” that bring them to Maaco.

The "Uh-Oh, Better Get Maaco" tagline, first used in 1981, quickly became one of the most recognizable catchphrases of the 80s, defined by its quirky commercials and celebrity personalities.

In 2015, Maaco will leverage campaign assets across all media in order to connect with a new generation of customers.

"By tapping into something that is so iconic, we can leverage years of brand equity while engaging customers with modern humor," Artemio Garza, chief marketing officer of Maaco, said in a release. "We hear it on the streets from the more than 20 million customers that have turned to us for paint and collision repairs. Uh-Oh, Better Get Maaco will always be a part of our roots."
