Feb. 2, 2015—VehicleOwnersGuide.com, a provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the collision repair markets, announced on Monday the release of EstimateScrubber.com v2.0 Beta.
The new program uses advanced pattern recognition to scan printed estimates for common mistakes not associated with insurer guidelines or missed repair items. The system works by using 30 estimating rules including checking for labor notes, identifying missing labor times or parts prices, identifying OEM parts that require refinish, core charges, manual included operations, and other items that often get overlooked during the estimating process. Administrative checks, rates, materials, thresholds, taxes and discounts, required estimate text, required repair operations, betterment, and used, remanufactured, aftermarket parts usage as also included.
"Our goal was to re-engineer the whole process and create a scrubber like no other. There are several key benefits. A repairer can review an estimate against the 30 rules to quickly identify missing core charges, lines that are modified but still contain included labor, missing labor or parts and other items. It becomes the shop's expert when reviewing an estimate written with a system the shop is not familiar with. It becomes an estimators fast, final QA check," Bob Sandkaut, product planning director for VehicleOwnersGuide.com, said in a release.
The new release works with estimates printed from Audatex Estimating, CCC One and Mitchell UltraMate. Estimates printed to PDF files can be uploaded and reviewed.
