Zara's Collision Gives Away Camry

Dec. 11, 2014

Dec. 11, 2014—Chevelle Thomas and her 2-year-old daughter, Kharma, were presented a refurbished 2004 Toyota Camry by Zara’s Collision Center in Springfield, Ill. The vehicle was unwrapped Wednesday during a luncheon ceremony of 140 attendees at Zara’s Collision Center as part of their Benevolence Program.

This is the 16th year Zara’s has purchased a vehicle, restored it, and then donated the vehicle to an individual in need. Over the course of those years, Zara’s has given away 27 vehicles counting this one. A comprehensive maintenance check is done to verify the vehicle’s safety and reliability.

The Benevolence Program is supported by Zara’s vendors, employees, friends, family, and insurance agents. Sixty-six donors contributed to the program this year for items such as vehicle repair, paint material, mechanical work, gift cards, and monetary gifts.

Zara’s Collision Center is among several Akzo Nobel Acoat Selected shops across the country giving away a vehicle in December as part of a national effort to present refurbished cars to deserving individuals during the Christmas season.
