Aug. 4, 2016—Progressive was named the top commercial auto insurer of 2015, according to data from SNL Financial.
SNL Financial releases the Commercial Auto Competitor Report every year, which ranks the country’s top 50 commercial auto insurers by U.S. written premium. Progressive went from the No. 4 writer of commercial to the No. 1 spot in a span of five years due to continued growth in all of their business market segments, most notably for their “for-hire” segments, which include long-haul and specialty trucking risks.
