Service King to Double Apprentice Program Size

Aug. 26. 2016—Service King Collision Repair Centers announced Thursday that it has welcomed 23 new technicians into its ongoing Apprentice Development Program.

The new class of technicians is the first of several new launches slated for this year. Combined, the 2017 class of technicians will graduate nearly 100 technicians, doubling the size of the Apprentice Development Program. 

The inaugural class of apprentices, which included 45 aspiring technicians, is on pace to graduate and assume full-time roles by the end of this year. 

“This is an extremely proud moment in our continued mission to provide unparalleled training opportunities to aspiring automotive repair technicians across the U.S.,” said Tyra Bremer, Service King vice president for Talent Development. “The Service King Apprentice Development Program is a one-of-a-kind environment for motivated technicians to obtain exclusive hands-on training from dedicated supervisors inside a live collision repair center.”

New apprenticeships will take place at repair centers in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, California, Tennessee and Illinois.
