Ford Recalls More than 110,000 Vehicles

Aug. 24, 2016

Aug. 24, 2016—Ford announced Wednesday that it is recalling more than 110,000 vehicles for issues with fuel pumps control modules, fuel-injection pumps, and power-window software.

Approximately 86,000 2013-2015 Ford Taurus, Flex, Lincoln MKS and MKT vehicles with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engines are being recalled to replace the fuel pump control module, which could fail and cause the engine to stall or not start. Certain Ford Police Interceptor sedans are also affected.

Ford is also recalling approximately 2,500 2015-2016 Ford Transit 3.2-liter diesels for their fuel injection pump, which could have metallic contamination.

Another recall Ford issued involves approximately 23,000 2017 Ford Escapes for an issue with the power window software. The software issue could allow the window system configuration to exceed the regulatory requirement for remote actuation closing force, increasing the risk of injury.

Ford said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with these issues.
