Epicor Adds Features to Parts Network B2B eStore

Aug. 27, 2014

Aug. 27, 2014—Epicor Software Corp., a manufacturing, distribution, retail and services software solutions provider, has added several new features to its parts network, B2B eStore.

Some of the new features include a VIN decoder, which maps to specific conditions for each vehicle, ability to support multiple locations, the ability to place and manage stock orders via spreadsheet and automatic price re-inquiries when the product quantity field has been changed by the shop user.

The new features also include an enhanced repair shop customer quoting capability. The B2B eStore was formerly known as Internet AutoParts, and connects about 29,000 automotive replacement parts wholesalers with over 180,000 service providers in the U.S. and Canada.

“There are thousands of service providers that do not have an integrated shop management system to generate comprehensive and professionally printed customer quotes, yet rely on the Epicor B2B eStore to automate their sourcing of replacement parts and supplies,” said Scott Thompson, Epicor’s vice president, automotive, retail distribution solutions. “This new feature helps support their growth by providing a fast, accurate, customer-friendly quote for virtually any common repair or maintenance service.”

The customer quote feature allows service providers to create quotes that include:

  • Parts list and pricing
  • Labor (based on Mitchell Flat Rate Labor Guide)
  • Vehicle-specific product specifications from Epicor PartExpert eCatalog data
  • Itemized shop supplies with user-defined prices
  • Sales tax
  • Disposal and/or hazardous materials fees
  • User-defined service disclaimer
  • Customer name and optional signature line
