Aug. 11, 2014—CollisionMax selected David Suszko, a disabled 22-year U.S. Air Force veteran for its Metal of Honor Award, the company announced recently.
Suszko, of Warminster, Pa., will have his 1998 Lincoln Continental repaired for free. The car has accumulated damage on every side during its more than 122,000-mile life.
“None of [the damage] is from an accident, so it isn’t covered by insurance,” Suszko said, noting that he felt he didn’t earn enough while living on an army base and working part time as a driver to justify paying for the repairs out of pocket. “I was kind of shocked when I got the call from CollisionMax. This award is just great for us, and we’re very grateful.”
The now retired veteran says his family is “all military,” including his wife, Patricia, whom he met at the Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
