911 Collision Centers raises $70,000 for youth organizations

June 20, 2011

June 20, 2011 — Tucson, Ariz.-based 911 Collision Centers raised $70,000 for two local youth organizations through a recent golf tournament and car raffle.

The fundraiser, hosted by the company’s community foundation, will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Southern Arizona and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson. Those organizations were chosen in a community-wide vote.

The raffled vehicle was a 1966 Ford Mustang purchased, restored and donated by the collision center. Technicians voluntarily worked on the vehicle after hours and sprayed it with paint donated from DuPont Performance coatings.

“Because of the donation we made and the contribution by both our team members and DuPont, 100 percent of every dollar raised went to the two charities,” said Michael Quinn,” event chair and co-founder of 911 Collision Centers. “Giving back to our communities is one of the cornerstones of our company values, and I am very proud and appreciative of our team’s efforts to help our community.”

The collision center also teamed up with Hertz and DuPont to offer a seven-day trip to the Hilton Grand Wailea in Maui and a VIP-NASCAR Jeff Gordon package for a fall race at Phoenix International Raceway.

The Make-A-Dent Golf Event drew 130 participants and was sponsored by Hertz, DuPont, D’Angelos Coatings, Kent Automotive, LKQ, Insurance Auto Auctions and Enterprise Rental Co.

“We are proud to be a recipient of the Make-A-Dent Golf Event and are grateful to 911 Collision Centers and all the other event sponsors for their generous support in these difficult times,” said Dominick San Angelo, executive director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “Their contributions provide critical funding to help us continue in our mission to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis.”

911 Collision Centers was founded in 1998 and runs shops in Tucson, Phoenix and Las Vegas. For more information, go to 911collision.com.
