Las Vegas, Oct. 31, 2011—More than 135,000 people are expected to attend the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, according to Peter MacGillivray, vice president of events and communications for SEMA.
MacGillivray said that number is based on advanced ticket sales, and does not account for on-site registration. About 61,000 of those attendees are buyers, he said.
MacGillivray also said this year’s show attracted 621 first time exhibitors.
“This is the type of destination that people have confidence in knowing that they’re going to do great business,” MacGillivray said. “And the education that we host at the event is a big reason why people come here from all over the world to participate in the show.”
