April 12, 2016—Farmers Insurance announced Monday that it will introduce coverage for drivers participating in ride-hailing in New Jersey, available immediately.
The Farmers Rideshare Insurance Coverage extends a driver’s Farmers auto insurance coverage until they accept a ride, when their TNC affiliate’s commercial insurance coverage would apply.
New Jersey is the 18th state in which the Rideshare Insurance Coverage is available.

"We recognize that consumer needs are continuing to evolve and our ability to provide this important coverage to customers is a further demonstration of our commitment to meeting changing consumer demands."
