Dec. 30, 2010—Sterling Autobody Centers named Lou DiLisio vice president of operations for its northern territory.

“Sterling has proven itself as a major force in the collision repair business, and I look forward to helping our operations team improve its overall efficiency and effectiveness,” DiLisio said.

DiLisio has more than 30 years experience in the automotive repair industry. He most recently served as CEO of Automotive Industry Consulting Inc., and has provided services to Sterling since 2009, according to Sterling.

“Lou brings decades of collision industry experience, technical expertise and strong industry relationships to our company,” said Nick Notte, president of Sterling. “He had a tremendous impact on our results while in his consultative role, and we will benefit from his experience as we continue our implementation of lean tenets throughout 2011.”

DiLisio is past chairman of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) and past chairman of the Collision Industry Conference (CIC). He was inducted into the Collision Industry Hall of Eagles in 1998, and was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the SCRS in 2010, according to Sterling.
