Web-Est integrates estimating software with CollisionLink parts ordering

March 9, 2011

March 9, 2011 — Web-Est’s online collision estimating program is now compatible with CollisionLink, the OE parts procurement solution from OEConnection, Web-Est recently announced.

The integration enables shops using Web-Est to send repair estimates electronically to their OE parts suppliers. CollisionLink automatically scrubs the data by VIN and verifies every part on the estimate, allowing dealerships to respond quicker and more accurately.

Web-Est said the change would also allow customers to take advantage of automaker parts programs designed to help shops utilize more OE parts. CollisionLInk administers parts marketing programs on behalf of Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nisan, Honda and Volkswagen.

“This integration provides our customers with yet another powerful, time-saving benefit within the Web-Est product,” said Eric Seidel, president and CEO of Web-Est. “Using CollisionLink, our shops have the opportunity to streamline their OE parts ordering processes and better serve their customers.”

Mark Tomasetti, senior vice president and chief commercial officer for OEConnection, said the integration should help shops repair cars faster and more economically.
