Team PRP Adds First Connecticut Shop to Network

Nov. 1, 2013

Nov. 1, 2013—Bishop’s Auto Parts of Middletown, Conn., is the latest automotive recycler to partner with the nationwide Team PRP network, the organization announced recently. Bishop’s is the 136th automotive recycler to join with Team PRP, and the organization’s first partner in Connecticut.

“We are truly pleased to welcome Bishop’s to Team PRP, another exceptional recycler who will be able to provide high quality service to customers in and around Connecticut,” said Stacy Bartnik, Team PRP’s executive director. “Bishop’s has demonstrated their commitment to the highest standards and ethics, which makes them an ideal fit with our Team PRP vision of excellence.”

Bishop’s Auto Parts has been a family-owned business since 1969. The original owners, Dick and Sharon Bishop, are still involved in the business, and one son, Dan Bishop, acts as president of the company.

Specializing in newer parts—focusing primarily on late-model, higher-end vehicles with low mileage—Bishop’s Auto Parts fills a more specific higher-end niche. The facility processes approximately 600 vehicles each year and has 17 employees on staff.
