Nov. 27, 2013

Nov. 27, 2013—General Motors has given global approval for the use of select PPG clearcoats for warranty repairs on its vehicles, the auto manufacturer announced Tuesday.

The approved products include PPG’s NEXA AUTOCOLOR P190-6800 HS Express Clearcoat, ENVIROBASE High Performance EC800 Ultra Fast 2.1 Clearcoat, and DELTRON DC2000 Ultra Velocity Clearcoat, which underwent comprehensive testing to ensure it met GM’s standards.

“All three of these PPG clearcoats have proven themselves to be exactly what we require to ensure the high quality of our GM dealer network’s warranty repairs,” said Bob Hiser, GM service engineer. “All three clearcoats deliver the high-gloss premium finish our customers demand—and they do it in an efficient and effective manner allowing for high productivity. We’re pleased to add them to the long list of our other approved PPG products.”
