Collision Repair Education Foundation reports $1.1 million in donations

Feb. 7, 2011

Feb. 7, 2011 — Companies, collision repair businesses, individuals and industry organizations donated $1.1 million to the Collision Repair Education Foundation in 2010.

The monetary and in-kind donations have fueled scholarships, grants for school equipment and tools, the second Ultimate Collision Education Makeover grant and other initiatives. The foundation’s number of Industry Leadership Circle donors—a designation earned through specific and significant donations—reached 44, nearly double that of the previous year.

Doug Webb, chairman of the foundation’s board of trustees, said 2010 was the organization’s most monetarily satisfying year ever. He and the foundation’s executive director Scott Krueger thanked staff and donors for the success.

“We are excited not only by the continuing support in education by the entire collision industry, but also by the number of first-time and returning donors to the foundation,” Krueger said. “Collision repair businesses are beginning to feel the benefits of investing in the education of the young men and women who will soon take their place and make their own mark in our industry.”

Organizations and individuals interested in donating to the Collision Repair Education Foundation should contact Brandon Eckenrode, associate director of development, at [email protected]. For more information about the Collision Education Foundation, go to collisioneducationfoundation.org.
