AkzoNobel Reformulates U-TECH Brand

April 11, 2013

April 11, 2013—AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas has introduced a newly reformulated version of its U-TECH paint brand.

AkzoNobel said its U-TECH single stage products “have received the largest dedicated R&D makeover in the history of the brand.” They have been designed to offer improved color accuracy and a simplified intermix tint system to meet the needs of the commercial vehicle mid-segment.

The U-TECH single stage system will continue to be used with a 3:1 mixing ratio. AkzoNobel said the acrylic urethane products are HAPS compliant, and are available in three VOC options.

“We are very excited about the new-and-improved U-TECH brand and what it now brings to the commercial vehicle mid-segment,” said Kevin Romine, CV and OEM product manager for AkzoNobel. “End-users will love it for the ease-of-use, the durable finish and the enhanced color accuracy. Our distributors appreciate the consolidation of the SKUs and concise, simple assortment.”
