Dec. 9, 2011—The Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) on Thursday announced Rust-Oleum joined it Industry Leadership Circle by donating epoxy floor coating products to four collision repair school programs through the organization.
The products were donated to the following schools:
• Applied Technology Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
• Bridgerland Applied Technology College in Logan, Utah
• Irmo High School in Columbia, S.C.
• Lake Technical Center in Eustis, Fla.
“Thanks to Rust-Oleum for helping these schools, and we look forward to helping improve many more schools through their generous in-kind product donations,” said Scott Kruger, executive director of the CREF. “We have seen first-hand the difference a fresh floor coating makes to the overall appearance of a shop. Collision instructors have told us it helps make the collision program look brand new afterward, and that the students have a new sense of pride in their work area and classroom.”
"In today's economy where the funding of educational programs is so challenging, we are proud to able to assist the programs that fall under the purview of the Collision Repair Education Foundation,” said Steve Gillman, vice president of administration for Rust-Oleum. “We are humbled to know that the coatings we provide contribute to the pride that the students feel about their facilities and what they are doing.”
