New York City Shop Earns City’s Only Tesla Motors Certification

Jan. 7, 2014

Jan. 7, 2014—Precision Auto Works announced on Monday that it earned an independent certification from Tesla Motors, becoming the only collision center in New York City with that distinction.

"It's exciting for Precision Auto Works to be a part of the green automaking revolution," said Mike Giannakos, an owner of Precision Auto Works.

Giannakos said Precision's I-CAR-certified technicians were invited to Tesla headquarters in Fremont, Calif., to complete a combined 160 hours of factory training on the fully-electric, aluminum-constructed vehicles.

The shop's commitment to service and repair eco-friendly vehicles began two years ago when it pursued specialized hybrid and electric vehicle training and certification through Go-Green Auto Centers of Long Island.
