AutoWatch reaches two million milestone

Dec. 6, 2011

Dec. 6, 2011—Audatex North America Inc. on Tuesday reported that AutoWatch, its web-powered repair tracking product, has tracked more than two million vehicles and processed nearly 14 million photos to date through its online service.

Audatex AutoWatch allows vehicle owners to view the progress of vehicle repairs online. Digital photos are uploaded and posted to a repair facility’s website, along with the latest vehicle repair status information.

Gordon Henderson, director of Audatex AutoWatch, said use of the AutoWatch product has doubled over the last three years.

"We are very pleased to see AutoWatch hit the two million mark this month in terms of the number of vehicles tracked. This is a clear indication that vehicle owners and repair facilities have embraced the idea of instant online repair updates,” Henderson said.

"We live in an ever-connected world—instant, transparent and 'anytime' access to information is fast becoming the norm. The collision repair industry is no exception, and over the years we have seen a growing demand for tools and solutions that connect repairers, vehicle owners and insurers easily and efficiently," said Patrick Schmidlin, vice president of product management for Audatex North America. "With AutoWatch, vehicle owners get accurate repair status information in an instant. Using technology to improve communication between stakeholders in the repair process is a key goal at Audatex, and we plan to continue our innovations in this area."
