SCRS leadership conference to take place at Toyota training center in Texas

Aug. 16, 2010

August 16, 2010—The 5th annual Society of Collision Repair Specialist’s (SCRS) Affiliate Leadership Conference will take place Sept. 22 and 23 at the Gulf States Toyota (GST) Training Center in Lewisville, Texas and attendance is expected to increase from past years.

"Our affiliate ranks recently have grown at an accelerated rate and we expect event participation to increase significantly as a result," said Barry Dorn, SCRS chairman.

The conference aims to help affiliate attendees share triumphs, struggles and helpful solutions with their professional peers. The event will feature a focused review from all associations in attendance, SCRS news, industry issues and an announcement of a new online parts ordering system from Toyota. Fred Iantorno, executive director of CIECA, will also share information from the CEICA Implementation Conference—which is being held the two days prior to the SCRS conference.

"The conference features collective insight to address issues you won't find anywhere else, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to foster it," said Aaron Schulenburg, executive director for SCRS. "Our affiliates and the thousands of businesses that support them want workable solutions to trying issues. The Affiliate Leadership Conference provides the content, context and analysis to provide those answers through candid discussion bred from a forum structured specifically for our affiliate associations."

For more information about the event, email Schulenburg at [email protected] or go to scrs.com.
