March 24, 2011 — The 2011 Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) will feature a presentation on the kind of workers the aftermarket will need to service future vehicles, organizers said this week.
Named The Critical Role of Career and Technical Education for Tomorrow’s Aftermarket, the presentation will examine the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), developed to help link the aftermarket industry with education programs. Speakers will include Bryan Albrecht, president of Gateway Technical College; Frederick Brookhouse, education business development manager for Snap-on Industrial; and Roger Tadajewski, executive director of NC3.
Tadajewski said the session would provide attendees a strategy for building local partnerships using the NC3 model.
“The service industries' future growth and productivity will be determined by the strategic partnerships developed with technical education in the near-term,” he said.
