March 23, 2011 — The deadline to apply for a SEMA scholarship or loan forgiveness award was recently extended to April 15.
The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to fostering the next generation of industry leaders and innovators, the organization said. Last year, SEMA gave out nearly 80 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 and one $4,000 scholarship for a top student. The organization also offered awards of at least $1,000 each to help pay the loans of recent graduates employed at SEMA-member companies.
Applications are available online at sema.org/scholarships.
