Oregon shop owner wins bumper stapler

Nov. 1, 2012

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 1, 2012—Jeff Carlson, owner of The Refinishing Touch Inc. in Clackamas, Ore., on Thursday won a thermoplast bumper stapler from Spanesi Americas through the Society of Collision Repair Specialists’ (SCRS) prize drawing series at SEMA.

“Learning that we had won this tool was awesome and a great way to kick off the SEMA Show, which I try to come to every year because I can learn how to better run my business while having a little bit of fun,” Carlson said. “This tool is going to be great for repairing small tears and rips in plastic bumpers, which we see all the time. We’ll put it to good use.”

To be eligible for the drawing, SEMA attendees had to pick up a card at the SCRS booth that listed sponsors of the Repairer Driven Education series. Attendees had to get a stamp at each sponsor booth and return the completed card.

Tim Morgan, managing director for Spanesi Americas, said the Spanesi thermoplast bumper stapler allows technicians to make cosmetic repairs without removing the bumper or using complex, time-consuming techniques.

“It makes life easier for the technician, while ensuring the highest quality result,” Morgan said.
