CCC, MOTOR, I-CAR Education Foundation donate estimating data to technical schools

Aug. 20, 2010

Aug. 20, 2010—CCC Information Services Inc., MOTOR Information Systems and the I-CAR Education Foundation will donate the CCC One Total Repair Platform and MOTOR collision estimating data to technical schools nationwide.

School instructors need to complete the “Collision Repair School Solutions” survey provided by the Education Foundation to be eligible for the donation, according to CCC. The annual survey qualifies each facility to receive free subscriptions to CCC ONE Total Repair Platform and MOTOR data.

"We are excited to see CCC and MOTOR stepping forward and making it possible for the nation's future technicians to use the latest information and technology as they prepare for a career in the industry," said Scott Kruger, director of the I-CAR Education Foundation.

The Education Foundation will use the survey results to track general program information, key academic performance indicators, and program needs for new tools and equipment to train the students, according to CCC. The survey will provide information about collision school enrollment, placement, personnel, facilities and equipment to help the Education Foundation create metrics to measure the success of the collision education system going forward.

"I can't remember when the collision repair industry has seen so much significant change,” said Alfred Thomas, associate professor at Pennsylvania College of Technology (PCT). "We are charged with giving each future technician the knowledge to keep current. The donation of the CCC ONE Total Repair Platform and MOTOR estimating data is a significant benefit to the college and our graduates."
