PPG to hold annual MVP conference in Phoenix

Feb. 8, 2012

Feb. 8, 2012—PPG Industries on Tuesday announced the company will hold its annual MVP Business Solutions Conference March 25-27 at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix.

PPG said the conference includes a lineup of keynote speakers, seminars and interactive workshops that will be focused on improving collision center performance. The conference is structured to give participants exposure to fresh approaches for advancing their competitive capabilities.

Two keynote speakers that will present during the conference include Vince Poscente and Joe Calloway.

Poscente, a New York Times best-selling author, business consultant and Olympic skier, will discuss how to develop a competitive advantage for your business during a presentation titled “Big Goals in Short Order: Learning to Thrive in a More-Faster-Now World,” according to PPG.

PPG said Calloway, an author and performance consultant, will discuss how to think, work and engage with new ides to create business success during a presentation titled “Minds Wide Open.”

“We all need to be reenergized periodically. We recognize our customers appreciate the opportunity to get away from their businesses and continue the learning process, not to mention having a great time at a great venue.” said Jim Berkey, director of PPG MVP Business Solutions. “At every conference we work to acquire a balance of perspectives from both inside and outside the collision industry. Our seminars and workshops cover topics that range from repair planning detail to the emerging effects of the Health Care Reform Act on a collision business.”

The conference will also include various social events, such as a golf tournament, a tour of Desert Valley Auto Parts, and a gala dinner at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort’s mountaintop restaurant, Different Pointe of View, according to PPG.

PPG said the conference is open to all owners and managers of collision centers that use PPG Refinish products. For more conference information—including seminar, workshop and registration details—visit ppgmvp.com
