DuPont to debut new IntelliMist at SEMA

Oct. 29, 2012

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 29, 2012—With a working spray booth at the 2012 SEMA Show, DuPont Performance Coatings will demonstrate its new IntelliMist product, a spray booth humidifier that works to help productivity with waterborne paints and solvents.

The product is ideal for high heat, low humidity conditions, the company said in a press release_notes.

“IntelliMist is a process improvement tool,” the release said. “Because it automatically controls a spray booth during the spray cycle at the optimum level for humidity, it provides an extremely productive spray booth climate. It can also be used after the bake cycle to rapidly cool down the booth and the panels. Vehicles are much more ‘workable’ due to lower part and body temperatures.”

In optimizing spray booth climate conditions, waterborne and solvent borne products can be used more efficiently and consistently, the company said. It can minimize the need for specific additives and adjustments, and painters don’t have to constantly adjust paint mixtures to deal with conditions.
