Collision Hub’s Kristen Felder nominated for Aftermarket Woman of the Year award

Oct. 14, 2011

Oct. 14, 2011—Collision Hub on Friday announced its founder and CEO, Kristen Felder, was recently nominated for this year’s Car Care Council Women’s Board Aftermarket Woman of the Year award, which honors women in the aftermarket for their dedication and service to the industry.

The Aftermarket Woman of the Year will be announced at the 14th annual Car Care Council Women's Board Reception Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

“Our Women’s Board Aftermarket Women of the Year awards are a way for us to applaud exceptional women in the aftermarket for their dedicated service, as well as to recognize women who are going above and beyond to make a difference in the industry,” said Ruth Ehlinger, president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board.

“I have always been passionate about education and supporting women in the industry as a Women’s Industry Network board member, an AkzoNobel Most Influential Woman and the founder of Collision Hub,” Felder said. “Collision Hub was created as a safe space for all parties in the automotive industry to come together and collaborate toward transformation and positive change. What better way to do this than by developing programs such as Girl Scouts: Tools for Success, which offers an opportunity for leaders in our industry to speak with a premiere group of goal-oriented and intelligent young women from the Girl Scouts in order to educate, encourage and empower them, and capture their potential as future leaders.”

The Car Care Council Women’s Board is comprised of industry professionals, including company executives, service shop owners, service writers, motor sports figures, association executives and consultants. The board is dedicated to inform female audiences about proper vehicle maintenance and safety, and encourage young people to investigate automotive career choices.
