3M makes $125,000 product donation through CREF

Jan. 27, 2012

Jan. 27, 2012—The Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) on Thursday announced 3M donated $125,000 worth of its Blue Fine Line tape to 112 secondary and post-secondary collision school programs nationwide.

The CREF said the donation will ease schools’ collision department budgets by providing students with the ability to work with up-to-date supplies.

“In today’s tough economic climate and educational budget cuts, collision repair supplies such as this tape product are not available to all collision instructors to work with in their classrooms,” said Scott Kruger, executive director of the CREF. “3M’s tape donation to these schools will aid secondary and post-secondary collision students nationwide.”

“3M is honored to continue our support of the Collision Repair Education Foundation and career and technical schools all across the U.S.,” said Mark Algie, business development manager for 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division. “It is our hope and desire that these donations will in some small way help prepare the next generation of collision repair personnel for long, productive careers in our industry.”
