AASPI Annual Meeting to Focus on PartsTrader, State Farm

Nov. 19, 2013

Nov. 19, 2013—The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Illinois (AASPI) announced its full slate of speakers for its annual meeting on Nov. 23, and the presentations will highlight a specific issue: State Farm Insurance's PartsTrader mandate for its Select Service Shops.

The meeting is schedule for 11 a.m. in Springfield, Ill., and the organization said in a statement Monday that it will focus on the organization's resistance against State Farm’s expanded rollout of the electronic parts procurement system in State Farm direct-repair shops.

Attorneys John Eaves and Brent Geohagan, as well as Southern-based shop owners John Mosley and Ray Gunder, will speak about how they are working to halt the PartsTrander rollout in Mississippi and Florida. They will also discuss how they are stopping “short pays” by insurers.

The event, including lunch, costs $50 in advance and $75 at the door. To register, fax this form to 217.241.4683 or call the AASPI office at 217.528.5230 before Nov. 20.
