Dec. 20, 2011—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) is requesting industry participation with a research project to document the condition of parts received by collision repair facilities.
The SCRS is asking collision repair shops that have received poor quality, mislabeled, incorrect or incomplete parts to complete a complaint form and submit it the organization. The complaint can address any part type, including: new OEM, salvaged, reconditioned, aftermarket or certified aftermarket.
The SCRS said the complaint form needs to be submitted with photo documentation to substantiate the concern.
Visit scrs.com to download the complaint form. Forms should be submitted via email to [email protected], or fax at 877.851.0660.
The SCRS said it is compiling parts information for research purposes only. The organization will not respond to individual complaints, nor will it necessarily directly address the quality issues raised. Complaints requiring immediate attention should be directed toward the manufacturer, distributor or certifier of the product.
