Aug. 12, 2011 – Those interested in seeking a board position or in nominating an individual for a position on the National Auto Body Council should note that nominations remain open until Sept. 2. The final election will take place Nov. 1 at the NABC annual meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas during SEMA.
To be eligible for a nomination, one must be an NABC member or representative of a member, and a written notice of intent should be sent to the NABC. To do this, contact the NABC administrative office at [email protected] or NABC Executive Director Chuck Sulkala at [email protected]. Nominations can also be faxed to 609.799.7032 or mailed to:

It is also possible for an individual to be nominated by three or more members. This can be done with or without the nominee’s approval, although once a name is on the ballot it cannot be removed. If someone is elected that does not wish to serve, they need to simply resign and the chairman then makes an appointment to fill that term.
Each year, seven positions are open. This year the NABC has a vacancy for one position that has not been filled among those seven seats up for election, which include those held by George Avery, Stacy Bartnik, Karen Fierst, Fred Iantorno, Dave Niestroy and Liz Stein.
Once the deadline has passed for nomination passes, a ballot will be assembled and sent to all members 30 days in advance of the vote. The location (room) of the election will be included on the ballot.
All NABC members who wish to vote must be in attendance since organization bylaws prohibit proxy votes and nominations from the floor. Your commitment to NABC is most appreciated.
