CARSTAR Donates Electronics to Recovering Veterans

Feb. 12, 2013

Feb. 12, 2013—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts presented more than 100 military veterans recovering from wartime injuries with iPods, e-readers and iTunes gift cards to help with their recovery.

CARSTAR has partnered with iPods for Wounded Veterans, a charity dedicated to helping wounded service men and women by providing a diversion to ease the boredom of recovery, to collect donations as part of CARSTAR National Military Month, held annually in November.

The donations were to veterans recovering at the VA Puget Sound hospital in Seattle yesterday. Representatives from the 21 CARSTAR auto body shops in the Seattle area were on hand to present the donation.

“It means a lot when people come to visit and say thank you to us,” said U.S. Marine Marty Luna, who now works in the transportation pool for the VA Puget Sound.
