ASRW reveals 2012 keynote speaker

Sept. 17, 2012

Sept. 17, 2012—Organizers of Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) on Monday announced that author and business turnaround expert Dick Cross will deliver the keynote presentation at this year’s event.

Cross’ keynote speech, titled “Unlock Your Hidden Greatness,” will take place during ASRW’s Opening General Session scheduled for Oct. 11 at 8:45 a.m.

ASRW organizers said Cross has been involved with eight business turnarounds and more than 100 executive consulting assignments. He also teaches at Harvard and has involvement with two partnerships in the private equity industry. ASRW organizers said Cross’ keynote presentation will provide business leaders and executives with framework to improve job performance.

“We are pleased to sponsor Dick Cross as the ASRW keynote speaker, and show our continued support for the industry,” said Mike Bennett, marketing manager for DuPont Performance Coatings North America—co-sponsor of the event. “Dick knows how to run a successful business. He will share his vision, offering a roadmap of key actionable ways to achieve business success. Attendees will leave with a feeling of empowerment, which is a great way to start ASRW.”

“Attendees are going to walk away from this session not only with a better understanding of their business, but also with practical, easy-to-implement tools for success,” said Ron Pyle, president of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). “With roots on both sides of the industry, Dick Cross is a perfect choice for this audience and we look forward to another powerful start to ASRW.”

Tickets for the Opening General Session can be purchased online for $35. For more information about ASRW 2012, which is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, visit asrwwevents.com.
