New Gerber Collision & Glass Opens in North Carolina

Nov. 21, 2013

Nov. 21, 2013—The Boyd Group Inc. announced Tuesday the opening of a new Gerber Collision & Glass location in Jacksonville, N.C.

The 15,000-square-foot building was previously operated under the name of Auto Works and services what is known as the youngest city in the U.S., with an average age of 23 due to Jacksonville’s large military presence.

"The addition of the Jacksonville-Onslow Drive center is very well situated and allows us to expand our reach to new customers while better assisting our insurance clients," said Tim O'Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "The addition of another center in North Carolina demonstrates our continued commitment in adding single-locations as we continue to execute on our strategy to grow 6-10 percent through single-location additions."

The facility, located between two existing locations in Havelock and Wilmington, marks the company’s 24th location in North Carolina and the 220th in the U.S.
