Dent Fix unveils America's first cordless hot stapler

Oct. 10, 2012

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 10, 2012—Introduced at the NACE Expo on Wednesday, Dent Fix Equipment unveiled the DF-850CL Cordless Hot Stapler, America’s first battery operated hot stapler plastic repair kit.

The innovation in portability extends the tool’s benefits to the mobile repair industry—or anyone else with limited access to power.

The DF-850CL uses heat to embed a staple into plastic, "stitching" tears in the plastic back together.

One of the seven types of stainless steel Breakaway® StapleClips® included with the kit can be used on any thermoplastic part. Lightweight construction and no cord give the technician added maneuverability and agility, according to the company’s press release_notes.

The kit includes the seven types of Breakaway® StapleClips®, three interchangeable angled tip adapters, a charging adapter and a storage box.
