Eagle Abrasives wins Best New Collision Repair & Refinish Product award

Las Vegas, Nov. 1, 2011—Eagle Abrasives Inc., a provider of coated abrasive products, on Tuesday won the Best New Collision Repair & Refinish Product award for its Super Assilex product during the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Super Assilex is a sanding tool for advanced painting technology. The product helps avoid irregular scratches often caused by non-woven products, and reduces the risk of over-sanding by standard abrasive sheets, according to Eagle Abrasives. The company said that Super Assilex can improve productivity by reducing labor time up to 70 percent.

The Best New Product awards recognize the most cutting-edge automotive products that are either on the market or about to hit the market. Nearly 2,000 new products were submitted for consideration this year, according to SEMA.

The criteria used by judges to select the new product award winners included superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality, workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability.
