March 15, 2011 — Allstate Insurance Co. is the first major carrier to receive the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation, the insurer announced Tuesday.
To achieve the designation, each of Allstate’s employees directly involved in collision repair estimating took five or more I-CAR courses, the company said. It also had to demonstrate ongoing commitment to providing customers with efficient, safe and quality repair services.
“This is a symbol of Allstate's commitment to providing its employees with the training and resources needed to provide Allstate customers with a safe and superior customer experience,” said Bill Daly, assistant vice president for auto claims at Allstate.
John Van Alstyne, president and CEO of I-CAR, said the training would help Allstate improve customer service. Further education, he said, would allow the company to broaden its team’s knowledge
I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, was founded in 1979 and is dedicated to improving the quality, safety and efficiency of auto repair. Allstate is the nation’s largest publicly held personal lines insurance carrier.
