ASA, AMI to relocate headquarters

Sept. 12, 2011

Sept. 12, 2011—The Automotive Service Association (ASA) on Monday announced both the ASA and Automotive Management Institute (AMI) will move their headquarters to Colleyville, Texas.

The decision to move was spurred by major highway construction in Bedford, Texas, where the two organizations are currently headquartered. The construction occupied a portion of the parking lot surrounding their facilities. The move will allow the ASA and AMI to occupy a more modern, efficient office space, according to the ASA.

“ASA has been located alongside one of the most traveled corridors in the North Texas region for a quarter of a century, but highway expansion and the resulting congestion prompted us to survey the market for a possible move. We found a great location and now we are eager to complete the move,” said Ron Pyle, president and chief staff executive for the ASA.

The move will take place in late October following ASA’s Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW), which will be held Oct. 5-8 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Both organizations will continue to operate in the Bedford, Texas location until that time. There will be no interruption of services from either organization during the transition, according to the ASA.
