Nov. 4, 2010—Parrot introduced two new vehicle hands-free features at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
TextFriendly and FC 6100 are Parrot’s newest hands-free ways to connect, according to a Parrot press release_notes. TextFriendly is a text-to-voice feature that enables customers to have their emails and text messages read to them and send emails and texts by voice command without taking their hands off the wheel. TextFriendly can be installed after the car leaves the manufacturer.
FC 6100 adds complete Wi-Fi connectivity with voice recognition and media technology in Audi, Hyundai, Kia and BMW and is installed at the manufacturer level.
"Staying connected is not an easy task when you're on the go," said Christian Coly, Parrot's North American vice president of sales and marketing. "By making it easier for consumers to focus on using the features of their cell phone hands-free, drivers can concentrate on driving and keep their eyes on the road with Parrot's easy and intuitive technology."
