More than 100 golfers, sponsors participate in Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing

May 31, 2011

May 31, 2011 Although rain threatened, the weather cooperated for the seventh annual Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing on May 23, put on by the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ).

More than 100 golfers and sponsors participated in the event, held at Colonia Country club in Colonia, N.J. The outing raised money for the Lou Scoras Scholarship Fund. Scoras was an AASP/NJ member who passed away.

“People will always remember what Lou did for this industry,” said AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant. “They come out not only for Lou, but also in support of the charity that bears his name.”

Sponsors for the event included: the Amato Agency, All American Auto Salvage, Hertz Rent-A-Car, PPG, Akzo-Nobel Coatings, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Toyota of Morristown and Cosmo's Ocean County Auto Wreckers.

AASP/NJ also puts on the annual NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show. For more information on the organization, visit aaspnj.org. For more on the NORTHEAST show, visit aaspnjnortheast.com.
