NCAT joins ASE Family

Feb. 14, 2011

Feb. 14, 2011 — The North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NCAT) recently voted to join the Automotive Service Excellence Family.

“The NACAT board sees a natural fit with the ASE Family for our membership,” said Jeff Curtis, NACAT president. “The resources and expertise of ASE will help ensure the continued growth and effectiveness of NACAT and we look forward to being a major part of providing the qualified men and women our industry needs today and into the future.”

The ASE Family also includes the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Automotive Youth Educational Systems, and the Automotive Training Managers Council. Tim Zilke, president and CEO of ASE, said NCAT would enhance the nonprofit’s goal “of providing life-long career services for entry level and experienced automotive professionals.”

NCAT is the only international organization dedicated to teachers and trainers of automotive technology and associated fields. ASE was established to help improve the quality of automotive service and repair through voluntary testing and certification of technicians and parts specialists.
