I-CAR Hosting Free Steel-Repair Webinar

Oct. 11, 2016

Nov. 13, 2013—I-CAR announced Tuesday that it will host a free 60-minute webinar on steel part repair and replacement on Nov. 14 at noon EST.

The webinar, “Why General Sectioning Guidelines No Longer Apply,” will highlight how businesses and technicians can make the right replacement and sectioning decisions when repairing today's vehicles of complex steels.

"The webinar will explain why collision repair professionals can’t use general sectioning guidelines today, and the importance of current knowledge in steel part repair and replacement," said webinar presenter and I-CAR performance training coordinator Jeffrey Poole. "As construction materials and technologies continue to change rapidly, industry professionals have an obligation for the safety of their customers to keep up with new repair procedures and processes."

The webinar will include information on part removal, replacement, sectioning, attachment, tools, techniques, considerations and welding, using specific OEM examples. It draws on content from a number of I-CAR's new live-only courses, such as  “Replacement of Steel Unitized Structures” (SPS10), “Sectioning of Steel Unitized Structures” (SPS11), “I-CAR Steel Sectioning Qualification Test” (SPS05) and “Vehicle Technology and Trends 2014” (NEW14).

Registration for the free webinar can be found at www.abrn.com/ICARSteel.
