Driven Brands Launches Fundraising Effort for Children’s Hospital

Dec. 4, 2012

Dec. 4, 2012—Driven Brands, the parent company of Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting and Meineke Car Care Centers, recently announced a multi-year fundraising effort that will benefit 170 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals throughout North America.

Driven Brands’ fundraising partnership with CMN Hospitals coincides with its newly established Driven Brands Charitable Foundation. The Foundation is hoping to raise $1 million annually for several years for CMN Hospitals in the U.S. and Canada by working with Driven Brands’ franchisees, principals, vendors, customers and employees.

“For more than five years, we have proudly supported Children Miracle Network Hospitals in its mission to provide life-saving medical care to children in need across North America,” said Noah Pollack, executive vice president and general counsel of Driven Brands. “We are proud to continue building on this positive partnership through our Driven Brands Charitable Foundation, which was established to support philanthropic efforts in the communities where our franchisees and customers live and work.”

Driven Brands’ fundraising effort officially launched in November during its 40th annual Maaco Franchise Convention in Florida. The Foundation raised $410,000 during the five-day event.

Driven Brands said its Maaco and Meineke brand automotive repair centers will continue to support the fundraising efforts. Maaco and Meineke will conduct in-shop promotions at more than 1,400 shop locations across the country throughout the year. All funds raised will be donated to support medical care, research and education for CMN’s network of hospitals.

“Our member hospitals are well known for the first-class care they provide,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of CMN Hospitals. “They are lesser known for the fact that they are nonprofit organizations and rely heavily on community assistance. We appreciate Driven Brands’ commitment to help the kids in their communities and look forward to the many miracles that will result from their generous support.”
