N.C. garage hosts car show to honor Richard Petty

June 6, 2011

June 6, 2011 Petty's Garage, based in Level Cross, N.C., hosted hundreds of NASCAR fans and car enthusiasts at its inaugural Spring Fling Car Show.

The garage unveiled its one-of-a-kind Dodge Challenger, dubbed Legacy by Petty, custom built by Petty’s Garage to pay tribute to Richard Petty. The event, on May 28, was sponsored by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) and its member companies.

“This inaugural event allows fans and car enthusiasts to walk the grounds where it all started for Petty race fans,” said Greg Steadman, general manager of Petty’s Garage, the high-performance speed shop located in the garages that were once home to Petty's NASCAR teams.

The ALI is a trade association of North American-based lift manufacturers. ALI’s mission is to promote the safe design, construction, installation, service and use of automotive lifts. For more information on the ALI, visit facebook.com/LiftInstitute.
