Louisiana Collision Professionals to Host First ‘Association’ Meeting

Nov. 26, 2013

Nov. 26, 2013—A group of Louisiana collision professionals will host its first meeting on Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Baton Rouge, La. The meeting is meant to gauge interest in forming an official Louisiana-based repair association, according to event organizer Alysia Hanks of Lakeway Collision Center in Mandeville, La.

The group is calling itself the Southeastern Louisiana Collision Association, and Hanks said via email that 200 shops, vendors and dealers have already confirmed their attendance for the first meeting.

Industry consultant Ron Perretta of PPG will be the guest speaker for the event, and Walker said representatives from the Louisiana Automotive Dealers Association (LADA),  Mississippi Collision Repair Association, and the Alabama Automotive Repair Industry Society of Excellence will also be in attendance.

The association’s aim is to bring together shops in order to support and learn from one another to improve each other’s livelihood, Walker said.

PPG and Tasco Auto Color are the official sponsors of the event.

To sign up for the event, contact the Holiday Inn at 225.924.7021.
