May 29, 2012—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts will participate in the fourth annual Soaps It Up! Car Wash program to raise support for Make-A-Wish America and Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
On June 9, CARSTAR said 120 of its locations throughout the U.S. and Canada and more than 1,500 volunteers will wash vehicles as a fundraiser. All funds raised in the U.S. will be donated to Make-A-Wish America, and funds raised in Canada will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Tickets for the event are now being sold at U.S. CARSTAR locations for $10.
CARSTAR said last year’s event raised more than $30,000 in the U.S. by washing more than 4,300 vehicles. The event set a Guinness World Record for the most cars washed in multiple locations during an eight-hour period.
“Over the first three years, the Soaps It Up! Car Wash has been able to unite the CARSTAR family across North America to help thousands of children in need,” said David Byers, CEO of CARSTAR. “Now, we are ready to continue the tradition and bring even more support for Make-A-Wish in the U.S. and Cystic Fibrosis Canada in Canada.”
CARSTAR said it is expanding the program this year by providing participants with the following special offers:
• 3M Auto Care will offer a $5 rebate on the 3M Lens Renewal Kit to help drivers restore their headlights.
• Hertz will offer $25 off vehicle rentals with every ticket purchase.
• Cheryl’s Cookies will offer every participant a package of six free cookies.

CARSTAR has participated in the Soaps It Up! Car Wash program for the last eight years. This year marks the fourth time the program has been conducted in the U.S.
