May 24, 2010—An Oregon body shop became the first multi-shop operator to be recognized as a “GreenLink Shop” by the Coordinating Committee for Automotive Repair (CCAR) for its environmental, health and safety practices.
Kadel’s Auto Body shop in Beaverton, Ore. was the first shop to receive the recognition in April 2010 and now all 12 shops are recognized as GreenLink shops.
"It is a phenomenal achievement for any automotive facility, be it collision repair or mechanical service, to be recognized as a GreenLink Shop," said CCAR's chairman, Charles Ayers. "I am very pleased to learn that we have our first multi-store operator to qualify for this recognition, a significant feat for this entrepreneur with 12 locations, as well as for CCAR itself."
